Versatility is the key! And since some people said I should alter my title, I did! I also altered the time I'm writing this.
To learn from my mistakes and not get my blog deleted like last week, I'm also writing this in Word. Well not really word, more Writer. Writer is the OpenOffice.org free alternative and it's awesome! So I figured it's worth a plug.
I wanted to thank all the people who responded to my last blog! I tried to respond to all the comments and I think I did a great job (patting myself on my back, like Barry Horrowitz used to do) and it's fun! So keep it up.
So lot's of stuff happened since last Monday. First and foremost, I'm now an official NRG-X Labs athlete! I'm sure you noticed the picture change here and I also juggled my top friends around! So go down there (get your mind out of the gutter, I ment scroll down to my top friends) and add them!
I'm extremely proud to represent the company,. As a serious athlete you need serious products. And that's what NRG-X Labs is all about, excellence in nutrition!
I've got the NRG-X Labs Overdose, Vital Core, Red Stinger, Maxx Pump, Joint MaxxFLX and the CEE3000. And I've already tested the Overdose, Vital Core and Joint MaxxFLX.
There's a blog about my first day using Overdose up on the NRG-X Labs Blog! I will of course continue using them and keep you guys updated! Of course I will mention the products and such in my blogs here, but for the more detailed reports you'll have to check out the NRG-X Labs Blog. This blog is still all about me, don't worry!
Which get's me to Spätzle! How, you ask? Just don't ask, my mind works in mysterious ways. I'm happy some of you actually tried the recipe! And I'm happy that it worked out for some of you!
Unfortunately I haven't updated the recipe section this week, but I'm sure I will in the upcoming weeks. I'm having lots of stuff coming up and I'm doing my best!
I'll give out my first supplement tip though. Get a good multi vitamin! This will help you get all, or most, your vitamins in a timely easy fashion. I myself am not a big fan of vegetables. But a multivitamin helps me getting my vitamins in nonetheless. Plus Hulk Hogan told us to take our vitamins, what else is there to say?
At the moment I'm using Vital Core from NRG-X Labs, and it's my favorite I've ever had. And no, I'm not just saying that because I'm Team NRG-X. I've had many over the years, but I always had to take additional stuff (like extra magnesium because I cramp easily), but not with this one. Also others have huge pills that are hard to choke down or you have to take 10+ tablets. So give Vital Core a shot, you won't be disappointed.
Gym motivation! This is a big thing for most of people starting going to the gym, because it's intimidating. Lots, or most of the people I know or talk to join a gym because they're not happy with their body. And to go to a gym, in gym clothes, being stared at by other people doesn't sound too appealing. I completely understand that. Also if you're new to gyms, you probably don't know how certain things work and don't want to look stupid. All valid concerns.
Here's a couple of tips that might help. Find a time you can go to the gym when there are not a lot of people there. I do that myself. I don't like people keeping me from my workout by talking to me. I like to get my stuff done at the gym and go back home. So I go during a time when I know there's not a lot of people there. This also guarantees that the equipment I want to use is free.
Wear clothes you're comfortable in. But please, do not show up to the gym in jeans and work boots! That will get you funky looks for sure!
If you have a friend to work out with, go work out with a friend! That will keep you motivated and you have somebody to go with! For so many people the gym is a social experience. If that works for you, rock it!
Pack your MP3 player full with feel good and happy music! Or something you like listening to! I always listen to upbeat songs at the gym. That keeps me pumped and motivated! You can't listen to sad songs while trying to get a good workout!
Oh wow! This is already one piece of a blog and we didn't even get to the meat yet!
So the weekend started early for me. 4.45AM Friday morning to be exact! After preparing all my food and getting ready, I caught my flight at the Philly airport to Detroit. Of course I used the whole flight to listen to my favorite podcasts and sleep the whole way through! Which means I didn't hear any of the podcast but that was ok, since I had a 3 hour layover in Detroit. So I just listened to it again! For those wondering, it was the Swiss single charts!
Now since I had 3 hours to kill in Detroit I decided to get some coffee. For those who've been reading those blogs for a while will know that I grew quite fond of coffee...
And since the coffee I got was so good (Thanks again Coffee Beanery) I decided to make a blog update out of it... What followed was a blog update about pretty much every coffee I had over the weekend. If I didn't write a blog update, I used twitter to keep you guys updated!
And I must admit I like that idea! So here's my question to you, would you like to see more updates about coffees I find on my travels?
Coffee aside (well I was done with it) the travel went on to Dayton. I fell asleep right when I sat down on the plane (coffee to me is a thing of taste, not keeping me awake) and didn't notice that we had technical difficulties and were just standing at the gate for over an hour. Nor did I really care since that just ment more sleep for me.
Finally in Dayton I got picked up by probably the friendliest shuttle guy I've met this year and after storing my bag at the hotel decided to get my some food. Salad was the food of choice and it was so so.
Much better was the “Hot Head Burrito” salad that I got later that night! The ROH show was great! I pulled out a victory which made it even better and the main even is worth getting the DVD! (Strong vs. Lynn for those who don't know)
Saturday morning started great with some workout-ing followed by english muffins! I'm on the verge of coming up with a great recipe here so bear with me! The ride to Chicago flew by thanks to classic rock stations and a stop at Bob Evans.
Chicago proved themselves again as a great crowd that enjoys good wrestling. And that's exactly what they got! If you're living in Chicago, call yourself a wrestling fan and haven't seen a ROH show, you're not a wrestling fan!
Sunday morning then started pretty much like Friday. With getting up at 4 in the morning! Again I used the first leg of my trip to sleep the whole flight and on the layover who was only 1 ½ hours this time I enjoyed some breakfast food. Again I won't tell you what just now but it was great!
It was also really hard to not fall to the temptation of Starbucks who was right there when I came off the plane... But I wanted to safe that for when I got to Philly. As my reward so to speak.
My second flight was also used as a night-extender and I slept from take off to landing! But before I fell asleep I enjoyed the Swiss single charts from 1975. They made some good music back then, let me tell you!
First thing in Philly? You're right, finding a Starbucks, getting some coffee on and then heading to the arena for CHIKARA action!
Since Mitch Ryder is a coward I wrestled Shadow Phoenix. Lots of fun, check out the DVD! I enjoyed a pure wrestling match without having to watch my back at CHIKARA and so did the crowd!
I also picked up the CHIKARA King of Trios DVD! In case you haven't done so, you should do that at SMV in order to see the possibly greatest match ever with myself, Dave Taylor and Bryan Danielson vs. Mike Quackenbush, Skayde and Johnny Saint!
Afterwards was Denny's time. And I have to be careful here because this could easily triple the length of this blog...
First I must say that I only ordered a soup. Which took about 45 minutes to arrive. Along with 2 of the other 8 meals. So do the math here with me. 3 down, 5 more to go!
Keep in mind it's Sunday night at about 7.50 and the restaurant is not even ¼ full.
After another 15 minutes of wait, 3 more meals arrive. Of course the first batch all finished theirs a while ago.
Keep in mind it's Sunday night at about 7.50 and the restaurant is not even ¼ full.
And finally.... drum roll, the last 2 meals arrive with a total of about 28 minutes after the first ones! And those were not some crazy special orders! One of the last ones to arrive was a regular breakfast plate! I know it was the evening, but Denny's is proud of their around the clock breakfast food!
Now we spend 2 hours at Denny's with over an hour of waiting... The service was nice, the food was good, but the time was killing me! I just wanted to go home and sleep.
Don't get me wrong I've sat at restaurants much longer than 2 hours but that was like getting the food and eating it within the first hour and then sitting around talking for the rest...
Not sitting around waiting for 1.45!
Well I finally got home and fell asleep right away! What a great weekend!
Next weekend I'm going to Germany! And I'm so exited! This was really last minute since Paul London couldn't make it. Well guess what? Claudio Castagnoli can! And I'm so exited!
As something new I added many links in my blog! What do you guys think? Is it a handy feature? Or not really necessary?
Ok, it's getting late... Good night everybody, and I will read you soon again!
Salü
Claudio

During the 2008 Tag World Grand Prix you signed one of my CHIKARA comic books the day before you turned your back on the fans. I contemplated painting the signature over after that. Now, however, I can be proud of it again. Hey!
I can't believe you were even thinking about that!
