Thanksgiving November Twittourage Q & A

ancientflounder asked: Just how dizzy were you after that marathon giant swing you did to Grizzly Redwood at King of Trios this year? XD

Answer: Pretty dizzy! If you re-watch the match you’ll see me simply falling down and twisting Grizzly over to his stomach for Bryan’s Cattle Mutilations. I think that was one of the dizziest I ever felt. Thanks to the fans I couldn’t stop before 100 though!

nikkiMayday asked: Why are you so amazing?

Answer:  I was just born that way!

HollywoodStonah asked: I havent been watching Chikara for long but from what I have watched you are by far my favorite wrestler, Keep it up!

Answer:   Thank you, I’m planning on it.

DaveDrevello asked: what's the most unhealthy thing you've ever eaten?

Answer:   Oh lot’s of stuff! Most of it I tried to forget. I think I mentioned it before but I went to a Mongolian Buffet, a Pizza Buffet, had some movie popcorn, a sheetz frozen yogurt mocha thingie, some Kentucky grilled Chicken and some Taco Bell Nachos all in one day.

muthmaster asked: what would you do, if you werent a wrestler?

Answer: I’d probably still be in Switzerland hanging out with my friends and loving life.

MikeMakesItRain asked: Why didn't you reveal the 8th member of your group? And do you plan to use the Eye of Tyr, or hide it so it's never used again?

Answer: Stay tuned and you’ll find out! Patience is a virtue.

delma1960 asked: what's ur favorite coffee?

Answer: I’m always on the look out for some new great ones. At the moment it would have to be either Caribou’s medium roast or Starbucks bold. (with 1-3 splendas depending on the coffee size)

MadamXavier asked: Claudio, have any favorite matches that stand out in your mind? (and thanks for the workout tips. I've already lost weight.)

Answer: My match with Eddie Kingston form CHIKARA last Sunday! You’re welcome, I’m glad it worked! This reminds me that I need to write another workout related column…

VogeDaddy asked: not a wrestling question but should I buy a krupps or delonghi capuccino/espresso machine? I am trying to be very european!!!

Answer: I’ll have to look up the Delonghi espresso maker because I don’t think I know too much about it. The Krupps one is pretty good from what I read though (and the offer Caribou coffee!!)

michaelangus asked: favorite match?

Answer: See above ;) This reminds me of something too… to write a FAQ! I get this question every time and I can never answer it… Along with the "Favorite wrestler” one.

Julia_is_on asked: Happy thanksgiving to you, too. Wann können dich deine deutschen Fans wieder live sehen? LG Julia

Answer: Dankeschön! Im März beim wXw 16 Karat Turnier!!

duel3000 asked: have you ever wrestled in Australia? If not, would you? If so, would you do it again?

Answer: Yes I have! I even have pictures of me in Australia in my bio section ;)  I was there for the NWA when they had a tournament for the NWA Australia title. I’d LOVE to come back it's a beautiful country and I haven’t seen nearly enough.

MarianPepsiman asked: Hast du noch Kontakt zu deutschen Wrestlern?

Answer: Aber klar doch!

rbramblet asked: what are you most thankful for?

Answer: you asking me this question!! :) I’m thankful for the life I’m living, my family and friends, that I can do what I love.

BLACKLATINOWOLF asked: do you know who andy hug is

Answer: Of course! Yes, I read his book too.

garrett_adams asked: what mad you decide to turn the European uppercut into and artform? Other than you being very European of course!

Answer: Well it’s already called European Uppercut and since I’m good at it and “Very European” I put two and two together. I need to tell the story how I learned the uppercut… Basically I threw a really crappy one when I first came to the US in IWA-MS. Ian Rotten yelled at me and proceeded to blast Nate Webb who “volunteered” with some uppercuts. So I went back home and started practicing. I also got thought some more on the art of the uppercut by the one and only Dave Taylor. Ever since then I’ve been doing them with lot of success.

JokerRoyale asked: . What are your blans today??

Answer: I went to a track near my house to do some cardio, then had some tremendous Italian Thanksgiving food, watched “up” (great movie btw.) answered you guy’s questions and about to watch some TNA.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!

Salü,

Claudio

We built this city…

… on Motors! Yes, I’m speaking about the motor city, Detroit. On Friday I motored there from Philadelphia which took almost 10 hours.

Well that included stops, picking up people and the usual road trip amenities.

But before we get to that I would like to back a week or two to show you this picture!

Detroit Toronto November 001

Right this will actually be an entry with pictures! I can’t believe I was lazy taking them in the last couple of weeks. But you know, everybody gets like that every now and again.

So here we go with the vintage shredded wheat I tweeted about a little back! I can hear a voice in my head saying “Vintage Shredded Wheat” and it makes me laugh! I hope you too.

Friday I took on the PA Turnpike again. The good thing about this is that they have Starbucks on every rest plaza. I think I mentioned that before though. Well I got me one and then proceeded to drive into Ohio.

They had Starbucks on Ohio plazas too, but they were not “real” Starbucks. They explained it to me but I already forgot. All that counts is that they didn’t accepted the benefits of Starbucks card holders like free refills. So no free refills for me. They accepted the Starbucks card for payment though. Which brings me to coffee number two.

Detroit Toronto November 023

I had a total of three that Friday and number three was had at a gas station close to the building in Detroit. Hey I drove 10 hours, lay off me! The gas station was quite the fancy place to be as evident by those nice handles they had on their fridges.

Right after the show we left for Toronto. I slept and woke up at the border where they asked us if they need to be aware of any hidden needles when they search the car…

After catching some more sleep I got up to do some cardio and then we set off to the building at the Expo Center because there was a big sports card convention going on.

But before we got there everybody grabbed some food, except me, I got me some coffee. First of the day for those who are counting.

Detroit Toronto November 024Detroit Toronto November 025

My cup would have been number 3; a tremendous one :D

Then it was off the sports card convention which would have been heaven for every hockey fan. Lot’s of hockey stuff going on, unfortunately I didn’t get that Miroslav Satan jersey I wanted but found some great weird wrestling memorabilia. This came to a close with me signing some autograph signing and then the ROH show.

Detroit Toronto November 028Since all that walking around made me tired I decided to drive to my favorite coffee place in Toronto that I found last time we were there (and was right across from the hotel too) and enjoyed my last cup for the day and a great one at that.

Next Weekend it’s CHIKARA and it’s the season finale! Which means you should definitely be there. Saturday I’m in a great 6 man in Easton teaming with Jorge Rivera against ONST (oh and Quackenbush is in there too) and on Sunday I wrestle Eddie Kingston in a “Respect” match at the Arena in Philadelphia.

Be there!

With that I would like to say “thank you” to all my readers!!

Tschüss,

Claudio

Words…

Live with Regis and Kelly

Image via Wikipedia

Don’t come easy to me. Well, actually it seems they do. Just like the title Words came to me and then I just had to write some lyrics to it.

I actually do that quite often that somebody says a word and I remember a song or commercial to it and start reciting it. Just another thing that makes life much more fun.

What else makes life fun? ROH TV Tapings last Thursday and Friday. Paired with a trip to my beloved Broad Street Starbucks and the ability to go home and sleep in my own bed, those days usually rock. And last weekend was no difference.

I was even able to catch a re-run of The Soup Friday night and The Soup special so that was a welcome bonus.

Saturday was a little farther journey then. A full half an hour more. Muhahaha. Speaking of evil laughs, the count was on Google yesterday. And I love the count! I finally saw the count censored youtube video too and it made me laugh. If you haven’t seen it, you should!

Something else I started liking a lot. Regis & Kelly in the morning. Why? Well Regis is the man, I’m out of control! And right now they have Andre Agassi on and he’s cool too. I think I’ll have to add his book to my wishlist.

Now what’s up next weekend? Detroit and Toronto. Technically it’s Mississauga but that’s hard to spell and I had to go to the ROH website to look it up, so Toronto it is.

Do you live in either city? Come to the show. Do you know where a nearby Starbucks is? Let me know and come to the show.

Well, that’s about it. It’s a short read, but hey, I’ll write more another day. Trust me (that sentence reminds me of the Mac vs. Windows  commercials).

With that being said, tschüss,

Claudio

Promotional considerations

That’s what you hear on TV all the time. Now it’s time to bring it here! Why? Well I just wanted to say thank you to my sponsors and people who advertise here on this very site!

topposejpgNRG-X Labs is being sold on nearly every web-site that retails nutrition and sport supplement products plus many retail stores; check your local store for our items (and if you don't see them, show them this site!). Bodybuilding.com has a list of their “Top Brands” and this list is updated bi-monthly with actual sales driving the rankings.

In the industry it’s called the NASDAQ of sport supplements, because the rankings are a very accurate way to gage just how many units a supplement company is moving. Currently, they havOverdose-renderinge NRG-X Labs ranked as out selling over 80% of their over 500+ brands – now this is pretty great for any company BUT what makes this more amazing is that we haven’t spent ONE PENNY in advertising, that’s right nothing!!

You can’t do that any other way than, products that WORK and work so well that clients are telling others about it and keep coming back for more… that’s the highest vote any brand can get, when clients vote with their money; and tell others about it as well! We give all the glory to God for this success and know that if you give us a try you too will see why we out sell 80% of the sport supplement companies on the market today!”

Those are the words of NRG-X Labs founder Joshua B. Smith. Check out all the products and more info on www.nrgxlabs.com

About HeadBlade

Unlike a conventional razor, the HeadBlade makes your hand (and fingers) the handle. This gives you more control. When your fingers can touch your scalp you have a much better understanding or "feel" of what you're doing.

The patented suspension of the HeadBlade gives you even more control; you don't have to worry about the angle of the blade. Think of a conventional handled razor. It's like a unicycle and only touches your head at one point (where the blade is). This is very difficult to control (both the angle and pressure of the blade). Especially if your fingers aren't in contact with your scalp. The HeadBlade, in contrast, has a suspension and touches your head in two places; like a bicycle.

It may seem strange at first, but with the HeadBlade you lead with the blade. Why? Because that's the right way. If the blade was on back it would end up moving laterally across your head and you'd get plenty of "paper cuts." Not good.

Like a bike, you don't put any weight on the handlebars. So don't put any pressure on the blade. Just make sure the blade and back pad are in contact with the scalp, then take long smooth strokes. You'll get the best shave ever.

Check out www.headblade.com for more information! And if you order, use referral code 27009 for 20% off!

Halloween Twittourage Q&A

Good morning everybody! I hope you had a great Halloween. And what’s more important, a great first of November. Why is that more important, well I think you should try to live each day better than the one before.

Now a couple of things regarding the Q & A. Don’t send in multiple questions. If you have a 1-2 type of question, that’s cool, but if it doesn’t fit into one tweet, shorten it.

And now without any further ado:

 twitterbutton

nbezama asked: do you will like to receive for this halloween some coffee candy ?

- I was looking for a pumpkin so that I could carve it, but none of the stores I usually go to had one that was big enough. But I heard that they’re still having them for another couple of weeks, so I might still carve one.

PenginPenginZH asked: Do you watch any Joshi Puroresu(japanese women's professional wrestling)?

- Yes! And I’m a big fan! Favorites: Lioness Asuka and Kyoko Inoue. But there are plenty of other awesome wrestlers in joshi that I enjoy watching. One of my favorite matches is Kyoko vs. Takako (both Inoue) from… I forgot the show I can find out.

CiberneticoJr asked: What would be a good school/academy for wrestling for someone who wants to get in the business?

- Chikara Wrestle Factory! Important is to find a school run by somebody you know and you enjoy watching their wrestling. Also there’s the ROH school.

ancientflounder asked: I'll send two, since I'm greedy. Favorite venue to work in so far? and Have you knocked anyone out w/ an uppercut?

- Hammerstein Ballroom and Budokan Hall. So far there was no need to do that.

MadamXavier asked: Claudio, I'm trying to get into shape, and since you're the most in shape person I know, can you give me some tips? Thanks!

- Try to eat 6 meals a day and only eat unprocessed foods. If you can’t hunt it, grow it, pluck it, fish it (you get the gist of it) don’t eat it. If you buy foods, look at the ingredients and if you can’t pronounce it or don’t know the ingredient, don’t buy it. There are always alternatives that have all good stuff in them. Try to work out three to four times a week. Find something that you like doing and go from there.

MRIGal3 asked: Who is your favorite opponent in Ring of Honor?

- Myself

adventisbetter asked: what is a very European custome?

- Moritz Leuenberger

_MFS_ asked: whats your favorite place in Switzerland?

- Lucerne!!!

DenzilVoorhees asked: How far will the Swiss National Team get in the World Cup next year?

- I’m realistic and hope we make it past the group round. But then I think it’s over for us. I keep my fingers crossed though!

or_Cheese asked: Is there anyone you didn't face this year that you would have liked to? Who would it have been the most?

- There are many people! But I also faced many that I would never though I would have. I’d say I wish I’d have wrestled Mitsuhara Misawa one last time this year…

DenzilVoorhees asked: Which football (soccer) team do you follow? Other than the Swiss National Team.

- Unfortunately that’s about the only team I follow right now.

ulu6807 asked: newbie wrestler advice? Not for me...I'm default promoter. ;-)

- You receive what you put in. Work hard and have pride in what you do.

AlGalpin asked: What's your biggest ambition in life?

- To live a good life, be happy and make other people happy in the process. (I’m sure I can think of more, but that’s what comes to mind right now)

odessasteps asked: You've likely answered this before, but who is your futbol team, either in Switzerland or in Europe as a whole?

- Switzerland!! I can’t really follow the Swiss League all that much, so I just follow the national team. My #2 team will be Germany like usual!

avenjerk asked: Describe your perfect cup of coffee

- Black with two to three splendas (depending of the size)

KlayMan2007 asked: What is your favorite @Botchamania episode?

- Well I must say I enjoy the ones that feature just me (yes, there are two of them out there!) and the ones that have me falling over stairs in them. I actually watched all of them up to number 50 or so, now I have some catch up to do.

cannelis asked: how did you like wrestling in NYC this past September for Nigel and Bryans last match...you seemed to be in a very good mood

- I wrestled for Bryan and Nigels last match? I always enjoy wrestling in NYC!

Flyrfn144 asked: what is the best halloween costume you've ever worn?

- In Switzerland we don’t dress up for Halloween. Well actually nowdays they do because the stores found out that they can make money off an extra holiday! But when I grew up there was no Halloween, we dressed up for Fasnacht (Carnival) but I never really like that. Which means my costumes were never that awesome that they’re even worth talking about.

ohgodwhat asked: What have you thought of the recent botchamanias?

- See above! Other than the ones that feature just me I haven’t seen the latest ones. I think it’s at such a high number now that some of the stuff shown is a big stretch sometimes.

JoelNick11 asked: who's your favorite wrestler to work with and why?

- Sal Rinauro. (That’s who and why)

garrett_adams asked: you Comg anyway near Virginia anytime soon?

- Yes I am. Check out my Appearances for details!

AdzFilmmaker asked: How often do you watch WWE? From your tweets you seem to follow it a lot more than most popular indy sensations.

- I try to watch all the wrestling that’s on TV. Which means I watch WWE and TNA every week if I’m at home.

And that’s about it for today!

Ciao,

Claudio
