Blame it on the Rain (picture version)

Mainly because it’s been bad weather since I got back from Phoenix. Since Phoenix was so beautiful (weather and mountain wise) coming home to a gray skied rainy place kinda blows.

So, how was my weekend? It was great! Me and Hero flew out early Friday morning. He went to… I forgot and I went to Memphis for my layover. I made it to Phoenix earlier than him, so I waited around before going to grab some food along with some friends (names shall remain a secret).

I forgot the name of the Restaurant, but it was quiet great. I had a tasty salad and for dessert we all shared this awesome “Pizza oven cooked, half peanut butter chocolate, half macadamia nut with vanilla ice cream cookie”. Good times.

Then it was off to the ROH show where myself and earlier talked about Chris Hero a.k.a. the Kings of Wrestling were victorious in front of a great and exited crowd. If you were there, let me thank you here personally for your support.

Before the show we had an autograph signing and it was great meeting fans from all over the world! I found out that my French is not as bad as I thought as I was able to talk a little to some fans from the French part of Switzerland and France.

The unfortunate part was that Chris got hurt and his back was a complete mess. I said was because as of today he’s already feeling much better. It was really bad on Saturday though, he couldn’t even stand up straight.

Since the Saturday show was at 1 pm we had to be at the building super early. I then used the time to walk to a near Starbucks for some coffee. Or so I thought. After 40 minutes and about 3 miles I finally found one. Oh Google Maps, you did it again!

Saturday was not as successful as Friday, but I am not worried, because Chris could not wrestle and the Briscos took advantage of that. This Saturday in Charlotte at the “Big Bang” the Kings of Wrestling will be the new ROH Tag Team Champions. There’s no doubt in my mind about that.

Despite that, the crowd was even bigger than on Friday night and it was a great atmosphere.

I used the rest of the day to hang out with friends, get some great food and to watch Colt Cabana’s Stand up, which is hilarious! If you have a chance and see him, you totally should.

Now I could bore you with how my trip home was, but instead I decided to share some pictures from the last couple of weeks / months! Better, right?

Sunshine Lollipop

Good morning world! Wie gehts? Good thanks for asking!

How was your weekend? Mine was great! It all started with a drive up to Easton which included a stop at Starbucks.

Well I think I should back up a little. Friday was all kinds of fun. I ate at “Zoup” it’s a great place where they make soup fresh every day. Split pea soup is delicious. So if you have a “Zoup” near you, you should go check it out.

The Soup was a fun version as well “North Carolina was first in flight, South Carolina was the first in line to see Paul Blart Mall Cop”!

I just found out www.rohwrestling.com got a complete update, so if you have a minute, check it out.

Now where was I? Paul Blart, right. I actually saw the movie. And I don’t even live in SC.

Thanks to all you guys who watched the most recent episode of Claudio’s Café! With all the support there will be more.

Now back to me (imagine the voice from that awesome Old Spice commercial) and my trip up to Easton on Friday. Easton was great. Mainly because I became the first two time CHIKARA Team Kampf Weltmeister.

cut out 1

Sunday was Fairfield, CT. The drive was not too bad and was made even shorter by some awesome Swiss music.

The show was another success (and victory, nobody can touch us at CHIKARA). On the way home there was a ton of traffic. Which caused me to name CT as the “Traffic for no apparent reason state”. I think we should all adopt that saying.

Why? Well because in CT there are times where everybody is just hitting the breaks and slowing down for no reason at all. Combine that with constructions in NY and add like an hour to the drive.

But that didn’t spoil our victory influenced mood.

Dancing with the stars is back and one day I will be on that show. I’m also planning on being a Washington General sometime in the future.

That’s about it for now, stay European,

March Twittourage Q & A

robnwillms asked: Have you practiced a combo of the giant swing and ufo? It could be feasible if you're facing the bucks sometime soon.

- No I have not. I’m not Goro so I don’t think that' would work…

texasanarchy asked: what is your favorite joke?

- What’s bigger than a Christmas tree? A Christmas four!

Rabid_Lampshade asked: will you be touring australia again any time in the near future?

- Unfortunately not. I love Australia!

da_real_wes asked: are we going to see you on NXT

- Not in the next few months. I’m a big fan of the Show though!

Mr_Kong91 asked: Claudio!!!!! Would you let me design a some wrestling attire for you and Hero and you guys get them made if you like them???

- Sure! Send them in!

SouthSensation asked: Since it is a Q & A how do u peel a banana like a monkey

- You split it at the top!

joshsterner asked: what's your favorite roh moment from Dayton Ohio?

- Me and Sydall vs. the Briscoe Brothers

CH_Devin asked: If I were to bring a sign to WWE's TV shows next week in San Jose, what would you want it to say?

- “Claudio’s Café – Very European”

JAGNextBigThing asked: I'm trying to become a pro wrestler it's my dream so how can a guy like myself get started in a company like ROH?

- Finish School, join a good wrestling school, get some experience under your belt and don’t give up.

EmilSitoci asked: Here's a question for ya. Why are you so handsome? ^_^

- I have better abs than you ;) Pointing my finger, pointing, pointing my finger at yoouuuuuu ;)

Olympiakos71 asked: how are Japanese audiences different from American audiences?

- Different culture, different people. Different reactions and different things work there. It’s like Japanese Food and American Food. Japanese audience view it as a sport. They understand holds, fighting spirit, people’s dedications, weaknesses, their experience etc. Not that American fans don’t but other things are more important here. It’d be fun to examine this a little bit more maybe some time down the line.

ZiggySteamboat asked: r u going to release or bring that 2010 claudio shirt to the us when u come for the signings in May?

- I’m almost sold out of that one (I have one M left). I will have more or a different one at the signing though.

jlh2b asked: I always thought your shirt designs were incredible. Have you considered designing for other wrestlers?

- No, I have not. It usually takes me quite a while to come up with something I like for myself, so I bet it’d be even harder for other people.

BastiMix asked: seeing as you've been under WWE contract for a short time, how much do developmental talents make?

- Seeing as this is a personal question and about money, I will not answer this question. Manners anyone?

nueveluchanueve asked: What is one of your favorite books?

- Das 7te Kreuz

Rob_SHF823 asked: Where do you see your career at in 5 years?

- Being very European and very successful!

RatedR47 asked: Favorite north american actor and favorite roll they played?

- At the moment it would probably be Alec Baldwin and his roll in 30 Rock

RatedR47 asked: Coming back to Ohio anytime soon?

- Nothing on the calendar soon, but I’m sure I will!

garrett_adams asked: I might be moving to Europe. What's the most european city?

- Lucerne Switzerland!

Gloriosasuperba asked: Can you read these Japanese words? ;)

- Riiiiiiiicoooooolaaaaaaa!

nickmaniwa asked: why did you come out as Dr. Wagner Jr? at TPI that one year?

- It was a joke on Mike Quackenbush. Ian Rotten told him a couple of years in a row that he would bring in Dr. Wagner to wrestle him at TPI. So I figured I’d make it happen.

JesterFTW asked: Are there ANY chances you can get Chikara to come to Florida? And do you think you would ever sign with WWE again?

- CHIKARA is always looking for ways to expand. Florida is a little far but who knows. Yeah, why not?

tehsupasonic asked: Dream Wrestlemania match (Involving you)

- vs. CM Punk.

RizzIUP asked: What is your greatest memory, so far, in your wrestling career?

- Too many to just pick one! Headlining the first Hammerstein Show was pretty awesome!

tholzerman asked: How do you take your coffee?

- Black, one to three Truvia (or Splenda) depending on the size, sometimes a splash of Soymilk. Stirred, not shaken.

apsouthern asked: What happened to your t-shirts? I'm freezing and need something to cover my pasty torso...

-They’re selling quite well, thanks for asking! I’m almost sold out of the current batch but will have new ones soon.

theduelies asked: If you were to get involved in the NOAH vs NJPW feud, what match would you like to have?

- One that would be held at the Tokyo Dome!

SodaPopinski82 asked: how much do you bench?

- Hey, Big Soda, how much do ja bench? That would depend on how many reps I’m doing.

MachoBeard asked: 1) if tna tapped you for a deal would you sign? 2) what do you think of how nigel has been used since signing?

- 2) I think Desmond has been great! He has great matches, is  a big part of the TV show and is entertaining every week. 1) you only get one question per Q & A.

The_MOW asked: As a wrestling fan, what is your ultimate dream match?

- As a kid I always wanted the Steiners to beat up the Quebecers. Or Owen to beat Bret.

Not down with the sickness

Well I’m not so disturbed to be down with the sickness.

Especially if that sickness is fever and rather annoying. Now I realized later in the day yesterday (after feeling a little bit better) that my fever probably wasn’t 107, more 100.7, but form me being sick and not understanding the thermometer (looking at it while barely opening my eyes didn’t help) one can see how that can happen.

I sure hope I will have paid my sickness depth for 2010 with those last two weeks. For those who don’t know I got sick on my way to Switzerland with a stomach virus and spend one of the two days I had at home in bed (oh joy).

After feeling better at the awesome wXw 16 Karat Tournament, I got sick again yesterday. That was after hitting the gym hard and going to practice despite not feeling quite well. I guess that’s my body giving me the good old FU for not listening.

So I’m resting up now and stay at home despite feeling quite well (at least as well as I felt earlier in the week) which should guarantee for a great tomorrow. Also chicken noodle soups rule! So do cold wraps around your ankles to break your fever. If nothing else they’ll wake you up!

Who else enjoys the Marriage Ref? I certainly do. The panel last night was great! So was 30 Rock! Finally a new episode!

Tomorrow I will be in Rahway for Evolve. If you’re in the area you should definitely come see me taking on Bobby Fish.

Pictures and more from my recent trip home will come soon :)

Stay European,

Claudio

Home Sweet Home

Good Morning dear reader.

It's been far too long since I wrote something here... So I decided now is the time.

I'm in Switzerland and it's snowing. I love it.

Last weekend was CHIKARA for me and I had a great time. The new Reading building is great and the drive to Pottsville was not as bad as I thought.

I stopped for coffee at Sheetz both days and tried the Columbian Blend, Dark Roast and French Vanilla! All were tremendous.

Have I told you guys that I switched from Splenda to Truvia? Truvia is 100% natural and is delicious. You should check it out. I also wrote to Starbucks that they should feature Truvia.

Speaking of CHIKARA. It's called Bruderschaft. Not Brüderschaft. It's driving me crazy! Also I'm glad people are enjoying Ares and my promos. It's great teaming with my old partner again and we have so much fun, it's like we were never apart.

For those who don't know, we were a team pretty much from the start of my career in 2000. For the first 4 1/2 years of my career I traveled, trained and wrestled with him all over Europe and even in the USA. And now we're doing it again.

On Monday it was time to fly to Switzerland via England. We flew British Airways. The trip started off great with a really empty plane so I got a full row to myself!

It took a turn for the worse when I ordered the steak. I should have known (British, BSE)... On the second leg of the trip from England to Switzerland I got sick. I almost held up the plane's departure, but made it back in time to my seat.

The rest of the day was accompanied by frequent bathroom visits, shivers and severe coldness. Did I mention stomache cramps? I still made it to a trainingssession in Zürich, but thankfully Ares did the majority of it (we're a good team).

I used the next day for an astonishing 18 hours of sleep and felt a little better. Just good enough to go hang out with my friends and watch Switzerland loose to Uruguay (I soooo wanted Uruguay to loose, after a promoter there screwed me over) in a World Cup test game. It was still fun seeing all my friends,

Today I might go to Lucerne (the most beautiful city in Switzerland) for a little bit and then get ready for my trip to Germany tomorrow.

wXw 16 Karat is on the menu (talking in food terms here) and the Kings of Wrestling are going to be represented there!

I shall update you again when I'm back in the Staates!

Stay European,
Claudio
